Ten episodes of almost perfect television. The way it handles the culture clash between Blackthorne and the Japanese court without making either side the villain is masterful. Hiroyuki Sanada has been excellent for decades and it's great to see him finally get a role worthy of his talent. The finale left me emotional in ways I didn't expect from a historical drama.
